I have some similar crates that I keep some of our block stock in and fit nicely in a gap ... a fourth would've been nice :giggle:

Lucky fit. Reminds me of my dad building things like bin stores an inch wider than the bin. All very neat and tidy until the bin gets nicked and the replacement is two inches wider.

Forked around in the garden for an hour earlier. In from the left is the better way I found. I hope I’ve made our collective light glow a little brighter.

It’s a bigger hole to aim for and less chance of fouling on the bearers if your forklift skills are crap (like what mine are!).
Aye. One of my forks points higher than the other too. Not enough to prevent penetration but enough to often make you work for it.

might be worth getting it looked at ... your feet are pretty crucial in the scheme of things ... had decades of sometimes crippling issues with mine, until I stopped spending everyday stood on concrete floors .. been 95% better since .. will never be right again, but you're a lot younger than me ... get it looked at

Get some memory foam inersoles. Don't last very long unfortunately but worth it. Or alpaca felted ones. Not quite so good but last longer. It's amazing how much difference it makes to nearly every joint in your body.
I had some V12 dealer boots once and wearing them for anything other than driving a machine crippled me for days.

Already wear custom orthotics best £250 I ever spent...couldn't walk without ..but this on top of foot totally different to anything I've had before.

I often wonder if I should try a pair as sometimes a day on my feet leaves my knees aching like hell.

There was a time when either tarmacs or associated asphalt decided that steelies weren't enough and metatarsal boots where required incase of injuries like this.
Both companies have been bought out now and haven't seen them on a site since I was very young.

I'd absolutely recommend going to see a proper orthotics guy...gamechanger for me 15 years ago...

born with flat feet .. wore custom arch supports 'til end of teens, when it was decided I no longer needed them ...
by 22 my left arch had collapsed and put my ankle out of shape .... :( .. (trampolining 3 times a week for a couple of hours in college, probably didn't help)
struggled with it for decades, 'til a chance meeting with an old school friend who'd become a chiropodist ...
he measured me up and created some custom made supports again and revolutionised my life ...(y)
was usually crippled after a long day and struggling on an average day, to walk. Still wear his second set of supports in some of my work boots ...
what's left of 'em ..
they'm long in the tooth now .. :(
and he topped himself about 4 years ago  ....
fortunately they've done a hell of a job of rehabilitating my feet and on the whole I can get away without them, a lot of the time .. kneeling down/crouching/bending my feet (especially the left one) is an absolute no no
my left foot just doesn't bend and the ankle is completely shot .... skeletal abnormalities are all part of my Gaucher's disease ... as are very brittle bones ... never broken one in me life, despite some serious knocks and falls
has them a little confused

So...hour and a half into the wait at A&E or urgent care they call it...😖 Feel a right plonker but she must be obeyed insisted on it and it's still friggin sore.

Wish me luck ,think even a training course is better than this 😂
