Ok I need some more details of the problems you have with it, can you get it to run! And take a video for me with sound.

Sorry just read back through you posts it’s a tracking/ hydraulic fault, can you get hoses and fittings locally? Does the machine have hammer circuit couplings on the boom?

Hi, I’m not sure what to do with it , I payed £16500 for it last year and not had any use for it. I can’t believe it can’t be repaired. I have spoken to several digger owners and they all seem to say mechanics are pretty hopeless. Ie not mechanics just fitters, keep changing parts till it works and then send you a bill. They’re advising me know it could be contamination even though the oil has been changed several times and new filters.

Are you up for fixing it yourself? With my help?
Hi Mick, sorry for not responding sooner but I have been working my dogs in wales. No internet connection. I’m back home in Redditch Worcestershire now. Yes I would be interested in fixing it. This is my email address. [email protected] if you want to contact me with your phone numbers I can give you a call. Thanks, Kevin.

Firstly credit to Mick the Fitter for wanting to help sort the running faults with this little Excavator, like lots of jobs you never get all the details, unless you see it yourself it's punching fog, anyhow I was asked to check things through and found all the list of work carried out to be done by a Milk Man, the track control is cable operated, 1 cable was routed incorrectly and was kinked, so a new boden cable was fitted and set correctly, the poor hydraulic performance was due to a cooked up anti theft device fitted dumping servo oil, this was chopped out and made good with the hydraulics working correctly, the pressure targets in the script from the repair Co' is total rubbish as it has a system pressure of 3046 psi (old School like me) the pilot pressure was also bang on Spec'with the old looking lock wire still in the PRV, the Nitrogen Accumulator was also first class, the track groups suffered with locked up bottom rollers and a wobbly front idler, who ever was pretending to sort this Excavator out write a good job, but are needing further training on equipment of this type.

this 'un was a bit smaller than his usual bread and butter Bri ;)
I was helping a long time pal out just a short distance from my home with this, I must say I was very happy to see how many Lads on here wanted to help sort this little Monkey out (The Volvo that is.) it's not often to see Cable control on Track levers on any Excavator type equipment these days, it needs a lot of fancy bits to lock out the track controls I cannot understand the cost viability over wet lines??? all the list of things reported to be done to this excavator seemed like something Walt Disney makes up, we had all the lumps flattened (problems) in a few moments.

Brilliant news tony. Just a shame mick missed his chance to get to the bottom of it. When you read through the thread it was amazing what they had done😁
So how long did it actually take to find the problems

Welcome to the forum Tony, great to have your experience here. Also great to have your way with the verbs and words which cuts through the bullsh!t statements from dealers and so called service persons :D

I think there are a couple of Kobelco SK excavators on this forum which need your attention ...
