these green energy firms are trying and suceeding to rip people off.had a set of solar panels fitted last year ,want another set for a customer same set up 1600 more ?
also why is it everyone of these green type firms just spout complete bollocks and lie through their teeth ,i have pulled a couple up on so called lies

From what I can see, they’re just set up to rinse any subsidies and handouts then subcontract out the work.

I have had solar panels about 10 years now and nothing changes the company that done mine went broke about a year later and I keep getting calls about panels must by law be serviced yearly after telling them foxtrot oscar I been told not to talk to them llike that and they are going to report me about not having panels serviced and for using language on the phone network .it will be another crook try next year but you could easy fall for them

and therein lies the rub .......
it just isn't an economically viable proposition, let alone logistically/physically, when there'll be maybe 30-40-whatever silly number of vehicles per charge point ....

how is any vehicle owner without off street parking going to charge?

2/3/4 car households - parents and kids under one roof, all needing to charge ??

Well our local Royal Mail depot is definitely getting their money’s worth out of their conventionally powered vehicles, within the fleet are many vans pushing 15 years old at least, the red has faded to a dark pink, most haven’t got a straight panel on them. Now that’s eco friendly motoring

Well our local Royal Mail depot is definitely getting their money’s worth out of their conventionally powered vehicles, within the fleet are many vans pushing 15 years old at least, the red has faded to a dark pink, most haven’t got a straight panel on them. Now that’s eco friendly motoring

similar here ... running them 'til they drop ... same thing .. many don't have a straight panel .... their biggest issue locally is getting some spares to keep 'em rolling .. silly things like sub-looms ... our posty reckons they have 25-30% of the fleet parked 'cos of it ...

There is a lot of rubbish talked about electric vehicles. I do most of my miles on diesel, but I have an electric van as a runabout to try and make by other vehicles last longer. I heat up the van whilst still plugged in so no reduction in battery and it is basically an electric fan heater so defrosts/demists extremely quickly. I have noticed minimal difference in milage in the cold weather and as my average daily milage is only about 40 miles I don’t suffer range anxiety. It really is about getting the right vehicle for the job. I haven’t noticed any Royal Mail electric vehicles round here, but DPD have several Nissan e-nv200 and speaking to one of the drivers they love them.

You are assuming you will be allowed deliveries when we are all net zero. Maybe your once a month food parcel as you won’t have your own vehicle to get to the shops or you will have to move to within 15 minutes walk of shops.
I thought it was all rubbish and we could ignore it, but given the covid lockdowns anything seems possible.

My nephew has had one, he works for bt doing fast broadband connection. In that cold weather he didn't dare put the heater on as he wouldn't be able to finish his round
