Got a drainage job this autumn plus a pond to enlarge and other jobs, the drainage job requires putting in a 6in pipe and stone on top so don’t want a wide trench and have to waste putting stone down the side of the pipe, what’s the smallest bucket width wise you can put on a 3cx?

As doobin says.
A 12 inch standard bucket is as small as you can go, you`ll need slightly shorter pins, than a larger bucket as well if direct mount, if you've got a hitch, the hitch will be wider than a 12" bucket.

Also depends how deep you are going. If it's just 800 you can get a deep skinny bucket so the hitch pins don't go in the trench. Not so good for rocky terrain but spot on for easy digging

It has quite Long pins in but they could be reduced so it is possible

Speaking of pea gravel went to the urban quarry here today. All decent quality recycled material. Had a tonne of 10mm clean and couldn't believe how much he put on. Thought little truck was going to die. Guy on the bridge said that its light due to brick content. Anyone else use recycled?

i dont think i would use that around drainage, doesn't look round stones. Be great for normal hardcore though.

Recycled type 1 is £8/ton here its got all sorts of crap in it thought.
