I get a decent price (cheaper than quoted, so far by the same suppiler) but what I'm getting at it isn't worth an argue over someone getting
0.6 ppl less. I did some maths the other day and it cost me £4 extra to fill up, that £4 extra was worth the half hour I'd of lost the following Monday sat waiting to fill up.
Fule card people know all this and they say we will knock you down 1p. Work that out In time talking to them and worrying about it, it's not worth it....however I agree they should just do best price without an ask.

I agree when we stop and look at it on individual tank it's a pathetic hobby... fuel price obsessing...but hey
But on 2k litres a month it does save a few quid...

But a family member runs a large haulage company so when he has £10-£15k a day going out on fuel. The 1ppl makes quite a difference!
I appreciate wasting 30mins on the phone arguing the toss isn’t worth it. That’s why I like email business is business and as I said if you’ve got a good account manager or even a rubbish one but who replies to emails then you’re winning. I even in the past with one provider got a reply within an hour on a Sunday to say they would lower the price to beat their competitor card. All I’m asking is they are fair.
You could also say oh it’s only 1p so £4 difference, but to them that’s a massive difference selling millions of litres a week. So if they manage to get 1p off everyone extra without anyone ever questioning it then we only make them richer.

When I first got mine, I told them I’m only a sole trader and not using massive amounts, doesn’t seem to matter on the price quoted

Have just ordered 1000 litres of kerosene for us this winter at £829.40 inc
That’s 79.9ppl plus VAT
For months I have waited for kerosene to drop below 80ppl
This was Home Fuels Direct who I’ve been using for both kerosene and red since 2020
They are the cheapest for me here in Essex.
Last delivery of red was 41ppl now all gone!
and kerosene was 19ppl - now down to 2 barrels from my vast stock
Mind you I am still filling up 25 litre drums at supermarkets with white of my machines

I worked out the fuelcard I’ve got saved me £24 on fourcourt price when I filled up the van last week!

What’s the crack with fuel cards then,
You go into kiosk swipe fuel card discount applied and then you pay? Or you pay monthly etc?
Is it only certain garages?
Is it a load more faff?
