Restuarant staff chuck protests out themselves rather than getting Police involved which would likely have ended with the Police letting the protesters stay. Surprised the staff didn't get arrested.
well the establishment was private property and if they'd been asked to leave  ...... a pub landlord has the right to physically eject anyone he doesn't wish to have to tolerate and dare say the premises were licensed -- same situation in a nightclub.
at least they were handled gently ... and not 'bounced' out :giggle:

The group subsequently left the area and police attendance was not required."

have read similar proposals elsewhere too ... including chairman Drakeford and his muppets ... the big question is WTF are people going to wake up

Bristol are set to implement LEZ,s end of this month ... will be nigh on impossible to go in without copping a fine ..... Bristol airport'll be a trek through the lanes , t'other side of the Avon to avoid penalties, so guessing all of the Portway, Cumberland Basin and all the hubs in the centre ... Pam read it out to me yesterday off BBC news site, I think ..... bloody lunacy

Noticing a lot more interesting looking number plate designs raised texts and very dark grey backgrounds ..wonder how effective they are?

If stupid people keep voting in idiots they deserve all they get. I just feel sorry for the people who voted for sensible candidates.
if this comes to pass " The latest stage in the '15 minute city' agenda is to place electronic gates on key roads in and out of the city, confining residents to their own neighbourhoods. " I can see anarchy occurring
do it in Bristol and stop the 'Angels' getting to the Mardyke and their other watering holes and they'll simply torch them / gas them down .... probably to cheering crowds

I'd much rather avoid going into the city of Bristol or Bath, but if I really can't avoid it I have a plan.
I'm going to cut up proper reflective number plates into individual numbers and make up a holder so that I can select a registration number to suit the occasion 😁

In the yard we have a stick of chalk and a blackboard that we write down the reg. numbers of visitors that we don't like the look of (evidential, like the black stripe on the crossing attendants lollipop) .
I've now got a good selection of registration numbers that the authorities assure me are non traceable 😎

They have recently legalised a load of stuff to do with numberplates. I presume it's as anpr cameras get smarter they can cope with the variations

I've noticed a lot more cars with plates on which would have been pulled a few years back and been wondering if cams are better at reading them

Or that the cops can't be arsed or more likely they can't see them from the briefing room and twitter
