I just wanted to advise you of the price decrease we’re anticipating, which will take effect on Sunday 11th December 23.59 (all fuel cards excluding Esso) or Friday 9th December 23.59 (Esso cards).
When your next weekly price becomes applicable the cost of fuel is likely to reduce by over 4 pence per litre – of course we can’t predict with any certainty what will happen over the next few days, as markets remain particularly volatile. This will be the eighth consecutive week of falling prices, which is brilliant news!
The reasons why the markets are pricing lower are largely the same as previous weeks: global inventories of crude, supply / demand forecasts, the pound remaining stronger against the dollar and fears of steep interest base rate rises in the US. While our prices are not based on crude prices directly, crude prices do impact the market prices for refined products (i.e. diesel & petrol).
If it makes sense for your business to defer drawing fuel until our new prices take effect, then please be aware of the dates and times I’ve mentioned above.
