knocked down old outbuilding on site today, was on my own so rather than mess around jumping between machine and dumper I took some more paint off my dump trailer, only 300yard tip run one end to the other but saved so much time and easily took 50ton to the crusher pile, would of been a knackering day on the 3ton dumper! (All off road before anyone starts crying )

Genuinely don’t think the trailer has seen the road since April! Mini digger hadn’t even been turned on in nearly 3 months!

Final part of a recent project today, to fabricate and install an Eel screen on an abstraction pump.
I installed the first part about 5 weeks ago

And how the conditions on site have changed! The water made it a little challenging to install, but there was no way I could leave it, it was going in today one way or another!

Been a busy time in the workshop recently, getting it all ready for Galv and it only came back from the galvanisers on Friday.

Got all the pre assembly I could done yesterday, and fitted all the remaining components today.
Picked a cracking day for it, the sun was shining and all turned out well.

Having stood in that ditch a few months ago with you, I know what you had to start with on this and the solution you have come up with here is a work of art, excellent work James, something totally different to the sort of work I do and its nice to see the variety that we get up to on here.

Been a lot of work to get from the idea I had, which we discussed, to the finished product, but it’s been worth it and I’m pleased with the result.

Funny you should ask about that, had the same question elsewhere only yesterday!
It’s become a shelf….
Sits in the workshop, unfinished and no time on the horizon to even think about finishing it!

If I’m honest I could really do with getting it out of my way for the time being, but nowhere for it to go.

Pump running on top pic I always Chuck a pump in if there is ground water, use the concrete to push the water to one end and remember to pull the pump out before concrete gets into it!!

Got the next little extension stoned up and then loaded out ready for Monday, big tidy up on site ready to dig the rest of the internal floors out next week(not overly looking forward to it)

100mm still, caught the tail end of old regs thankfully. I do believe it will now be 150mm on new builds or huge amounts of insulated boards on the inside.

I suppose they make a 350mm trench block!
I did a small build the other week and that was still 100mm cavity. On new regs. 150mm insulation in slab.
