.... the last few years of crap should prove otherwise to you, Mike as for the new planting ..... it'll be 25 years before they replace the 'lung capacity' of what has been felled - supposedly in the name of green energy ..... and a lot of these turbines're being knocked out in China, which have contributed more to pollution in the last 8 years, than the UK has since the beginning of the industrial revolution centuries ago ...... quite how the green lobby could possibly reconcile this sort of shite is beyond belief

Yes that's what I mean though, they harvest the trees, plant the windmills, plant the trees and the cycle continues. I don't think there's any trees being cleared as such. Just the typical cycle, grow tree's - harvest - grow more. Somewhere in the cycle they planted windmills.
The few Forrest's we have in the UK is a needle in the haystack compared to the huge areas of rain forest they are clearing down in the South American continent to farm for a few years then leave abandoned use for SFA afterwards

I think it is a major problem for democracy when all the politicians have the same policies. There is no way of voting for moderate right wing policies to fix our problems. To be honest I despair for the future of our country.
