didn't Ross have a good look at these a while back and consider 'em a reasonable machine? ..... if not an unknown quantity

I looked at them the other year, the £600 difference from a bobcat e10 didn't justify going anywhere near them, especially when you sat in the seat, albeit I've not used one for work

Hitachi not much of a micro at 780mm which is probably closer to an 800mm gap it will get through the same goes for the yanmar vio10 they are just too wide (830mm)

If the tb210r was 680mm like the tb108 or even 710mm it would be perfect. I've had the dx10z a while now and it's been good but has many faults and even with it being apparently 710mm (it's not, the shitty handles make it closer to 720-725mm) it has been a tight squeeze to get into jobs, the tb210r and the new u10-5 wouldn't fit.

@GazCro they are only zero or reduced tail swing with the tracks pumped out

They make minis for Atlas so can’t be that bad? Still wouldn’t buy one tho

Have found the machine will physically just fit, but the crappy handles catch, so you get an awkward position where not enough hands to pull them inwards and track at the same time. The hole that the locking pin drops I to is either too big or too far to the diggers sides, there is a good 5-10mm either side

Mine seem to click in OK. A simple soloution for you would be a bungee across your lap, just keep it on the trame somewhere when not in use.

They have sticks in front of you but on traditional excavator control pattern.
It’s actually confusing because they feel like they should run x pattern I think, which isn’t a feeling I get with the kubotas or others?

I know 10/15 years ago the dipper/Boom function was backwards from any other machine of it’s time, had to be the last machine in the range to swap over to modern day pattern(can never remember which on it is!)

Really? I first drove one in my parents garden back in 07 and I'm sure that drove like every other mini at the time.

I knew I had a pic somewhere - just dug it out for some humour in this thread. Yes those are safety Vans..... (shoes to those of you too old to have been a skater back in the day)

Maybe I got a sae one someone had randomly specified? Same with 8030 I hired once, completely backwards, bloody horrible when your in a tight space

Nothing worse than surprise wrong way levers,I remember rocking up to one of my first jobs as a very new op,pointed towards a very tired Mitsubishi 140 (I think)..Bloody steep learning curve!floor mounted crazy pattern levers,character building they call it.
