Parents evening for school rd corner,

Newish discovery parked outside mine

Door bell goes at 7.40 young kid saying their car just been stolen!

Checked our cctv two young skinny lads all in black hoods up masks on.

Smash window climb in under ignition start it and gone in under 1 minute, amazing the speed of them. Must be so easy to knick.

No woman was from village 5 miles away she was 1000m or more away in school

This is old fashioned window break hot wire job, not electronic theft those discos aren’t keyless anyway

The keyless stuff is madness, I can start my disco anywhere in the world on my phone 🤦‍♂️ still requires key inside to make it go but I’m sure that’s not too hard to do!

Discovery4’s are keyless to start, just a push button. HSE spec upwards can be keyless entry too, just unlocks when you get close to the door. I’m surprised they smashed the window tbh, usually they clone the key signal to unlock it. That reminds me, need to get the replacement Obd port 😉 fitted to mine

retarded a 100k landrover is easier to thieve than a robin reliant.

Someone should class action LR and make them pay every time one is pinched due to their negligence.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
the more tech these vehicles get, the easier they are to nick BTLs

years ago a mate had a S1 LR ... so nick-able ... fitted a spark plug in the top of the fuel tank and just connected it to the dizzy each night .... if he couldn't keep it, neither was anyone else .......

Must admit they are keen on the trackers at LR, all the sensors went off once in a carpark as a fella was getting into his car next to ours as we were reversing out, and I’d jumped back in as couldn’t see out, within minutes LR control centre rung me asking if we were okay as it came up as attempted carjacking!
Won’t complain about that!

We had a sparky with a yard in Salford kept getting broken into he wired a pressure pad up then had an neon tube starter wired to handle reckoned it knocked them back a foot or two but wouldn’t kill them. Don’t think he was bothered if it did actually he was a bit of a wild one old Bazza

after my mother had her bungalow turned over twice in as many months, I fitted a live line to each of her ali double glazed windows and doors and they were all live whenever she went out ... would've dealt with the consequences had they been 'triggered' ... **** 'em

it would help that in the 0.001% of cases where plod can be bothered to investigate and catch burglars the bloody courts actually sent them down for a meaningful time, say 5 years no parole time added on for bad behaviour. but they are simply let out.

so its all pointless.
