Here we go again

FUEL PRICE UPDATE

I just wanted to advise you of the price rise we’re anticipating that will take effect on Sunday 9th October 23.59 (Esso – Friday 7th October 23.59).

When your next weekly price becomes applicable the cost of fuel is likely to increase by around 5p per litre – of course we can’t predict with any certainty what will happen over the next few days but unfortunately prices on current markets remain high.

US inventory reports of refined products (e.g. diesel) have shown lower stocks and higher demand and, with OPEC+ also suggesting that production of crude oil is likely to be reduced, global markets have been driven higher.

If it makes sense for your business to take advantage of current prices, then please do so before the dates and times I’ve mentioned above.

It has been announced that members of Opec have agreed to cut production by a significant amount for the next 14 months.

This has spiked prices significantly this week and the cost of fuel for next week is increasing substantially, it is currently up around 8ppl with potential to rise higher.

I just wanted to advise you of the price rise we’re anticipating that will take effect on Sunday 16th October 23.59 (Esso – Friday 14th October 23.59).

When your next weekly price becomes applicable the cost of fuel is likely to increase by around 8p per litre – of course we can’t predict with any certainty what will happen over the next few days but unfortunately prices on current markets remain high.

Weak sterling against the dollar and an ongoing dispute between the US and OPEC+ over supply cuts, is keeping the cost of crude oil high. While our prices are not based on crude prices directly, any increase, along with other factors, drives up the cost of refined products (i.e. diesel & petrol).
