Let’s hope it doesn’t send it our way by mistake 🤔😳😳
was my thoughts exactly ... not only are they gonna piss off two 'innocent asteroids' , God knows what the ultimate effect it'll have on all the other asteroids whizzing about out there, at some future point :oops:

Let me know in the morning if the earth is destroyed :D
you'll know in a couple of hours which way it's headed ... heard tell Zooport might be high on the list .... best leave now :giggle:

let's hope they don't send it off towards Proxima Centauri either ... be a right own goal .... knacker our next planet before we even have a chance to **** it up ourselves ... and NASA'd need a new mission goal for the next 40 odd years too

Totally. But then I think that about most forms of space exploration if I'm honest. The last sizeable asteroid to hit the earth was what 65 million years ago? I'm happy to take my chances with those odds🤣

we had a near miss a few years ago ....... 80,000 kliks (50,000miles) ... the moon is 250,000 miles away .... in astronomical terms .. was a close shave
we also had a hit in IIRC the 1920s in Tunguska (there's book about it - the fire came by) .... made a hell of a mess in a virtually unpopulated area ...... Zooport'd 've been amalgamated with Bromsgrove, if it'd landed here
