Depends on which is the lowest rated, the vehicle manufacturer, the coupling, or the drawbar. Usually the vehicle manufacturer is the lowest.

My plant trailer is 350kg, the coupling is 250kg, and the pickup is 225kg

I've got to be honest the entire Tillypass thing boils my s**t.

Either Fully legislate and enforce Annual plating on Highspeed trailers. Or Don't. But don't encourage Quazi organisations to be the supposed standard.

I can only hope their inspection skills are better than their website skills

Probably.. but so too would every trailer behind a car/pickup! 90kg nose weight for 3500kg isn’t it?

I think it varies from vehicle to vehicle whereas pickup hitches are limited by c and u regs

and there in lies the rub .... there should be no reasonable cause to run overloaded on the nose weight ..... it's set .. the trailer should be loaded to comply ... if it's too heavy you need a bigger trailer - simples ... 90kgs max nose is designed to stop any risk of snaking .... if you're dull enough to load it arse heavy, or just as bad, neutrally balanced, then you SHOULD NOT be towing.

They’ve all been loosing their s**t about it on Facebook, how dare they think to bring them in line with hgv etc , few saying well I can’t pass medical for hgv so what I’m going to do… but still pilot 40 ton of fastrac and Dolly

can’t comment on other places but I know around here and any other farmers I know, be it young and old, all drive sensibly. Usually drive at about 15mph and aren’t a danger to anyone.
It’s contractors they need to tighten down on, absolute madness what some of them do, sending 16 and 17 year olds out with a 200hp tractor and 4000g slurry tanker, completely nuts. They’re always driving as fast and hard as they can, bunch of tossers with their collars up and grassmen stickers etc, and that’s goes for young and old alike.

A lot take on far too much work, don’t charge enough, buy too many expensive tractors and drive like plebs flat out everywhere to try and make ends meet!!
