this belongs to our 'nice' neighbours .... bought to tow a donkey box for their young daughter's pony ... Rorie (the wife), doesn't get on with it and it's been superseded by a freelander2, so is up for grabs.
don't know much about it, but can find out more if anyone's interested .. just passed an MOT - passed with minors (see pic.) ...3 good General Grabber AT2,s and one in need of changing - spare is also in the same state... 85k on the clock - auto and showing age related rot in the arches. it's on an 03 plate - diesel.
No idea what it's worth, or what they want for it .... but can ask.
this'll be as straight a ticket as they come .. know the test station

Yes I think £600 tax came in 2006.
Pre 2006 is £300 odd.

They where always very agricultural. I remember trying the commercial and they where even worse without a load in the back!!

L200 are no better. They sound like a tractor and the gearbox is very clunky. Reassuring in some ways but surprising as I always though the l200 was meant to be the more car like pickup till I bought one

's what Rorie and her hubby replaced the Shogun with .... was shifting her donkey box about with that yesterday morning too .... jeez what a heavy clutch ... never even sat in one before .. are they all that heavy, or is it a cable in need of lube ???

I am going back to when the freelancer first came out and had a 50th Anniversary model, even before the Td4 BMW engine.
My daughter has a freelander 2 which I also find to be a car like drive and an extremely versatile family car!!
Haven’t been in the replacement for the FL2 which is now the Discovery Sport.

ah right ... never been in one or driven one .... the 2 wheel driver that Ashcroft hurriedly cobbled into a 4WD, for LR, to compete with Hodna's little 4x4 release (CRV??) ... was only ever intended/designed to be a front wheel drive vehicle
their FL2 seemed a nice enough thing to sit in
