Not likely. It has turned in the market today, might just be end of week closing of the trading book. But the £/$ is going to wipe out most of the current fall. And that looks like getting worse rather than better now we are going to chuck another £150billion on the government debt!!

There is a new name for the great currency reset in there somewhere.
Trussonomics has been mentioned with the new PM spouting her economic policy.
I have seen several names for Charles that I won’t repeat, but Charles face won’t be on as many notes as his mother was. Might be worth sticking a few away when they do get around to printing them. In there Billions!!

Not sure if you have noticed, but my guess is most of your money is all ready in a digital form. Only backed by a promise of the BoE.
I think I will still take my chance on that compared to keeping my digital wallet save on a hard drive with a promise from cyber space!!

before decimalisation changed the coinage, we had several monarchs on the coins in your change -- and for a while after, 'til the bob and two bob coins got quietly swapped out ... the notes still carry "promises to pay the bearer", no matter who's boat race is on the note
