When I was buying my 803 from the small time trader up here, he had a local guy pleading with him to buy his ginormous digger off him, and from the pics it looked bloody huge, a typical scrap yard machine with a grab and long reach, the seller was begging him, please just give me 6 grand for it...."noope". He was struggling to get scrap value. I didn't really understand it at the time when I was paying more for a 3 ton .

Decent video on it...but he will probably need to sell his car to replace a final drive if hes unlucky!

For someone that's "never operated an excavator" that's not bad...seen worse "used them a lot mate" types.
Nice old machine that 😍

Ok, let’s just pick a few points out of this video.
The guy ……..
Had a backhoe loader but it was not man enough for the job.
Bought a bigger machine to handle gert big rocks.
Does his own welding to what appears to be a high standard.
Likes painting stuff.

Is he Druid’s trans Atlantic cousin? 😀😀😀

many have probably seen this.
For those of you who have seen it.
It is worth watching again

yeh that's a great video Frank .... have seen it several times ... those old Broyts were quite a tool really and the bog plates were genius ... you'd need to be trying real hard to get totally stuck in most 'ordinary' circumstances :giggle:
