well?????? :giggle:
Centre pivot has dropped down though so touching when lifted like that with 16 ton.

Should have got bolt kit as well as doing it onsite didbt have new ones and some were rounded etc was a struggle with stripped down tools as I’d emptied truck for holiday.

To be fair it’s in need of some hard tlc, I bought it blind off eBay for a job in 2017 for £5k and it’s been worked non stop since.

Gear box locks up in 3rd after 100m or so.
Breaks aren’t great, dash bern ripped off when someone tried to steal it other week. Skip needs welding.

Maybe time for auction/eBay and find a newer one or split it, gearbox out and fix that do centre pivot and fix some other bits on it, 4 new tyres etc. Basically a ton of money and not got a time to dedicate to it as to busy and then family on weekend evenings etc. Fitter at £40/hr plus travel isn’t realistic either.

bit of a conundrum, devil you know, or go again ... biggest cost'll be labour, as you say ... think you may be getting close to having had your moneys-worth out of it though :giggle:

Had the same problem in 2018, thought sod it and went new, best thing I ever did! The luxury of full hydrostatic and (working)headlights on a dumper is magical 😂

This weeks work well part of it anyway…. Basement dig in the center of Dublin, archaeologists have found some late medieval pottery in another room, so we will be on a go slow next week 😂

+1 hydrostatic is a big step forward ....saves a lot of time when you can go as fast backwards 👍

I don't think you want to know the cost of them these days lads...... somewhere in forum history I put the prices up when I bought my 1.5t in 2020. If I remember rightly it was around £19k for a Thwaites 3t swivel hydrostatic with lights. JCB's 3t dumper was £16,600 same spec. Rumoured to be around £25k now for the Thwaites! No idea what the JCB's are now but likely 25% more.
