Anyone have experience of this or know someone who has that was a ground worker/digger driver?
This is my concern. My one partially detached. I've had the operation done, just wondering how easy I have to take it once all is fully healed.plus take it extremely easy after that.
True but anything under 5 ton chucks you around a bit. That said I despise micros with a passionI wonder if it's time to get a bigger digger. I think the E10 has been beating me up to much.
I think if you have genetic tendancies for it to happen, it's going to happen no matter how cautious you are. The key is to catch it early, think floaters in your eye are the symptom arent they @Russell?I know someone who has had both the 1st jumping down off a hop up i think
I got a eye injury about ten years ago splitting logs with a axe, I hope this and only this is the reason why.I think if you have genetic tendancies for it to happen, it's going to happen no matter how cautious you are. Been watching too much casualtyGot a tennis ball in the eye 30 odd years ago which caused an eye hemorrhage and at the eye hospital they said my retinas were becoming detached. They tacked them back on with a laser. I still have a beer with Tim the eye surgeon every now and again. The weird thing is, I was obviously knocked out for the operation and have no recollection of it but can walk you round the operating theatre even though I was never in there conscious!![]()
Hope it gets sorted soon. Eyes are everything.i had a vitreous retinal detachment in 2018 that caused issues with floaters and bright flashes of light went to eye infirmary and was told overtime would mend itself and it did seem to recently eyesight got progressively worse in that eye. now the membrane that covers the retina has a hole or has puckered and i now need an op to peel the membrane and also have cataract done. had cataract done in the other eye and it worked brilliantly, i am hoping for the same when i eventually get a date for the op. it was originally brought up early march this year as urgent, but everything locally is backed right up.
Flashing lights and floaters that were like a small insect moving quite fast all around my eye and occasionally what seemed a cloud blocking the light but only in the one eye. Mine was diagnosed as vitreous retinal detachment I have problems again now that I posted below.I got a eye injury about ten years ago splitting logs with a axe, I hope this and only this is the reason why.
Symptoms can be flashing lights and a black curtain or net curtain moving in. It's surprising how quickly you have to get treatment. I was hoping they would give me some pills or tell me I'm imagining it but within a week I went for a operation.
I have had preliminary consultation and also need cataract doing, I am hoping both can be done at the same time, waiting on a consult with the guy that would do the operation to find out if that can be done. Hopefully that it can as my sight is very bad in that eye now my left that I had cataract done in 2019 is good the difference that made was amazing at the time even the next day colours really took on a new perspective and my distance vision was brilliant need specs for reading etc, I was apprehensive before the cataract op but it was done under local anaesthetic I could see what was going on not clearly but felt nothing there was no need to worry at all, well worth having it done.Hope it gets sorted soon. Eyes are everything.
It’s underway they have told me the membrane covering the retina has a hole or is puckered it seems to be right in central vision it was classed as urgent referall but locally the eye department at local hospital can’t do the procedure so I have to go to university hospital still in same county dorset as they do that type of op, now I know what it is it isn’t so worrying. Just have to wait my turn I think.I'm reliably informed the "flashing" is the nerves being torn.
When you start seeing that, it's time to get yourself checked.
