If it's a diesel it will be fine, it's a smoke test anyway so wouldnt have thought egr will make the slightest difference. If your worried about it take it for a decent drive before the MOT and drop it off just in time for the test, will probably mean the egr would stay in a closed position so as long as no eml no worries, or just blank it and map it outNo new vehicle is reliable with all this emission crap just had to have a new egr valve fitted, car would go into a limp mode at the worse times and I would have to hit it with a small hammer .But if you remove egr valve car runs better more MPG but will not pass emission tests
