So if it’s below the sides you don’t need a net? Because realistically is a roller over net going to stop piled high 6ft on a rough road anyway?!

Nets are only suitable for preventing dust blowing off a bulk load. If transporting oversized (say 75mm clean) that cannot produce dust you don't need a net.

Yes, because no one is standing up to them.
Basically if it's light and can't be strapped it needs a net.
If it's Dusty it needs a sheet
If it's Heavy, below the sides/raves and does'nt make dust all is well.

The “law enforcer” confirmed lower down that it was a ‘over height’ overload.. ie above the sideboards…

Bm lorry driver today said they've been told to net everything. He had 4.8m timber left on strapped down but had to net it.
These clowns want to go after these transit people that have steel piled high over weight etc.
But they won't because it will cost to much money to do so!

Depends on which is the lowest rated, the vehicle manufacturer, the coupling, or the drawbar. Usually the vehicle manufacturer is the lowest.

I think it varies from vehicle to vehicle whereas pickup hitches are limited by c and u regs

Either Fully legislate and enforce Annual plating on Highspeed trailers. Or Don't. But don't encourage Quazi organisations to be the supposed standard.
