Hi all,

Currently playing with a Volvo / PelJob 750 dumper, a TJ Termite mini excavator and an Iseki 318 tractor. Have info on all of them if anyone needs anything.

Was looking for info on seals for the dumper and came across the forum.

Does anyone know if the seals for the gearbox outlput shaft, (E7414364) and the transfer box output shafts, (E7414289) are "specials" or are they standard items available from a seal supplier?

If standard and you know the details, can you let me know. If specials, are they still available and where is the best place to get them.

Cheers, Cam

welcome (y)
easiest way to suss it is to physically measure the seals with a vernier caliper ... very unlikely that something suitable can't be sourced:rolleyes:

not seen a Termite B4

Thanks guys. Have sent a query to PES already. Should be ok for the gearbox seal, fingers crossed for the others.

Had painful experience with Iseki. Axle seals looked like common ones but were not. Only available direct from Iseki at silly prices. Sea ldamaged taking it out so machine was out of use for a long time till spares received.

Hope to avoid same problem with the transfer box seals. Can live with the weep, but if I dig one out and damage it then find they are no longer available, I'm in the s***. I know the axle seals are no longer available or repairable courtesy of this forum.

Yes Termite is pretty when new, not that I got it new, had it over 25 years now and and still going strong. Needed frame welded up and reinforced as was cracking, and pin breakages have been a problem, but is really simple and with 5 identical rams for the actions, it is as easy to fix things as you can get. Has a plug in towbar so can be pulled by a family car, but as everything is just pinned together, there is so much play that anything over 25mph is asking for the thing to start dancing. Fortunately it fits my box trailer.

the little walkers are quite amazing at what they'll do ... mine has moved some stuff over the years ... have had it since '92 and gotten through some pins and bushes in that time .. in the wrong hands it wouldn't last long ..

Dave at PES has come up with the goods and all I need should be here tomorrow, so thanks to all for the help.

I haven't a crane, but found quickest and easiest way of moving was to put the bucket of the digger into the bucket of the dumper and just tow it. The transport wheels haven't been on it for years, just the working wheels.
Agree with pin problems. I had all out in 2018 and re-bushed everything. Also came with a Hyd PTO and a breaker. Breaker is HEAVY for one guy to hold but is effective when working. Sadly it is a bit reluctant to work all the time.

yes deffo an easy way of getting it about any distance ... easy enough to walk about working though. still a very handy tool to have sat.
Like you, I haven't had my transport wheels on for years either and can sit it comfortably in my 10' x 5' trailer if needed ... does tow very well on its own wheels though TBF

Hi again,

I suppose old machines need more care, and what started out as oil changes has grown legs.

Gearbox needed new output seal and I discovered a new interlock plate and gearstick lock plate. Dropbox had a weeping seal, so that's all of them done now. Serviced the propshafts while they were off, and am currently in the middle of renewing all the axle / brake drum seals. Stupid bleedin' design that is.

Am really struggling with the brakes. Being French, I think that would have just used something standard off a Renault or Citroen or something, but I can't find anything anywhere. I can always get the shoes relined, (Shoes have the code C 14477 FC stamped on them,) problem is the wheel cylinders. I could do with seal kits for them all. Costs have gone way past what I had initially considered so I'm trying to get things at a reasonable price to complete the work. I've posted some photos of things and a pdf of the cylinder parts with sizes.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. (If anyone wants details of seal sizes used so far, let me know..)

Cheers Cam

Brammer at Peterborough made me up an odd sized seal for a compressor shaft (or had it made) and it held up well. Just need to accurate on the shaft and bore measurement.
