Good thread 🙂
Bikes for me but at some stage I intend to buy a nice toy, cliché I know but prob soft top for touring with the mrs and prob fairly fast and impractical.
Atom/Caterham sort of thing close as 4 wheels come to 2 🙂

I had a blast in an Atom on a track - ace cars, I’d have one in a heartbeat!
Caterham’s are also mega - did a full track day in a fairly basic Ecotec engined version and nothing could get near it. So easy to ‘place’, the feedback is like nothing else. I’d also have one of those in a heartbeat!

My Favourite car, was a weapon! FWD with LSD was inspiring!
I loved my XR4x4i ... like driving on rails ....... wasn't a fan of the ABS though ... been nice to have been able to turn it off occasionally

Just found this pic from the 80s of my old man’s showroom - some moneys-worth nowadays!…

They are expensive here in France (twice the price) .... they are difficult to register and need to be individually homologated 🤷
run it on brit plates/mot/etc. and bring it to UK once a year for T&T

They don't like it .... if it's uk reg and owned by a french resident then you only get a year to register it .... there are various ways round it "carte gris collection" if its over 30 years old, and some others now but not sure of the pros or cons of them.

so run it for a year ... 'sell' it back into the UK to a relative ... 'buy' it back a while later ... etc. ;) ... paper trail (y)

Didn’t you have a 458? 🤔 or are you a serial flipper 😂
I have cars for 6 months

Vette is 6 months so far
Clio is 2 years
Truck a year

458 was great but tbh it was a lot of doh . And I don’t do mega miles in them maybe 1500 a year . In hindsight I would have kept it but also that said it was over double the vette cost and I prefer the meaner look and drive
