trouble is -- getting a decent thickness ... those nissens were 0.9mm (22swg) and self supporting, covered in pitch and most were framed too

I’ll check out Cladco, cheers. Last time I checked it was proving as expensive as just buying a new farm shed. The only people doing it were aiming at the hippie types, eco homes etc, charging a fortune. Kinda the opposite of the point of a Nissen!

I bet you would be at that price IP rolls're hard to find ... mostly pyramids if you can find that size

I just can’t imagine those cheap e.bay ones being very durable, gearboxes etc. I have worked with various pan mixers & a handful of wear parts cost more than these machines.
