"Log burner rule change in England could land users with £300 fines ....

a wood-burning stove emits more particles per hour than a diesel lorry. "

Households in England face fines of up to £300 and even criminal records if they flout new log burner rules.
A tightening of emissions regulations has reduced the amount of smoke new stoves can emit per hour from 5g to 3g.
"

" But avoiding a ban are barbeques, fire pits or bonfires, as doing so would be "disproportionate", the government said. " :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
" As is already the case, householders can be fined up to £1,000 if they are found to be burning unauthorised fuels. A list of authorised fuels in each of the four nations of the UK can be found on the government's website. "

Same, my recycling bin is full without all the cardboard boxes etc we get, I’ll be dammed if I’m driving to the tip 10+ miles away to ‘recycle’ cardboard! It gets my bonfires going very nicely 🤟

depending on what's being recycled as to whether it's a 'cover of darkness' job or a daylight burn :giggle::giggle:

For larger fires, standard guttering downpipe with a joiner solvent welded one end makes that end a perfect fit for the round nozzle on a Stihl handheld blower. Join as many as you need to keep the blower a safe distance away.

I go through a blower every year. They don't burn up, but it's a hard life and they start to become unreliable, which is not ideal when you are relying upon making a big fire to keep the machine busy all day so I change them regularly.
