so what i take from this is

3 cylinder
block code tnv
with a 70mm bore
rated speed 2400rpm
T not sure ? poss max of 3400rpm?
then B1R is takeuchi number ?

1r would make sense as its a 215r its also fitted in a 217r

any opinions or thoughts much apricated

That's exactly what I took away from it. not knowing the machines it was equipped in I didn't get the 1r bit, but logically it makes sense, I wonder if the B is for excavator application.
