Seeing the digger mounted plate in the recent thread, I cant really see a use for it for our work but I do really like the look of the remote plates.

Dont have to be near the things breathing the diesel fumes, knackering your arms and ears etc

Will get one on hire to try out, I do like the look of the wacker neuson small plate, anyone used one ?

The only time I've seen one of those they were compacting some wet 6f5 and it just got stuck and sank a roller would've made something out of it

I bought a wacker vp1035 which is a perfect in the van size and it has hell of a punch to it ! Plus it saves having two plates like I used to a large and a small one

I would reckon when you get a price for one you'll maybe re think this one 🤣
Tbh your probably not far off the cost of a roller and you'll probably still need a smaller wacker for edges anyway.

On the subject of Wackers is the altrad streetworks still the only man handleable Wacker running over 1200kg per M2
The vast majority of small plates are only around 3-4 hundred kg per m2

Its only a normal one with a strip welded on the plate to give it a smaller m2 area of compaction at full force. But i can put one on back of truck on my own.
