Volvo EC27C Throttle Cable adjustment

Hi,

Im just wondering about how much slack should be in the throttle cable. The machine has autoidle and is an EC27C with a Yanmar engine.

The throttle lever moves about 25mm before the engine revs climb?

Should the cable be tight on the engine or slack?

I would think it should be fairly tight. Although Id ask if it is revving full before id be to concerned?

It is revving as it should, id say the throttle opens to around 2mm off the stop on the throttle body but there is around 25mm of lever pull before anything happens.

I believe its a Yanmar, but volvo call it the D1.6DCAE4. I'll grab the engine model number off the plate.

so you've another 2mm to go on the stop then ..... could take up a few mil at least on the cable then ... 20+ even

Is there a 4mm cap head bolt on the pump lever end holding the cable?
