Undercarriage wear percentage

There's some debate on another forum as to whether, say 70% means 70% gone or 70% left.
What say you?

When reading descriptions of things for sale, assume 50% undercarriage means f***ed....

I was say 70% left but how do they judge this? You would be surprised on manufacturers spec for undercarriage wear is actually very minimal.

Get someone who does undercarriages to do
An inspection prior to buying a machine as they can be costly

Always understood if a dealers ad says tyres / undercarriage 20% it means only 20% life left.

So 70% in this case is 70% good. Yippee. Don't worry though the dealer will catch you with something else instead
