Just recently bought a TV1200 vibrating roller
That starts and drives fine but having an issue with the vibrator which isn’t engaging

Vin plate? I can’t recall if it states the age separately or it’s within the vin number?

Take a pic of it?

If it’s a Terex Benford machine then there is a solenoid valve under the footplate. Might be a good place to start, it may be a simple the switch in the joystick. If you can test the power at the solenoid and possibly put power to it via a power probe or just a short piece of wire off the battery to test the solenoid works.

I think it’s older than I’m imagining from your pics. So maybe disregard what I’ve said.

I’ve done some checks by applying 12V to the solenoid under the foot valve the only outcome was the hoses tensing up under pressure.. previously the machine was damaged and engine was changed so I can’t be certain either if all the hoses are in the correct location

If its Deutz air cooled it could be anything up to around 2001 max.

Try pulling the vibration motors out of the both drums, tie them up so they don’t hit anything and then try it, see if the motors turn. You could possibly have a collapsed bearing on the vibration shaft that I’d jamming the motor.

I’m assuming the op’s roller is a 90’s model? Am I right in saying the age is in the serial number? In the letters somehow?
Why they just can’t put the age on the plate is beyond me!

yep but i only know until 2020

It used to say E506

be 6 month 2005 as an example

but they changed since. also early ones not so easy to follow
