Trailer tyres (Ifor 195/60 R12)

Just wondering what people are using for tyre replacement on Ifors? 195/60 R12.

I know I’ve seen tales of blow outs on almost new trailer tyres, but can’t remember what brand they were?
There is not exactly a lot of choice in this size, but are there any to avoid? Any really brilliant tyres? Or all much the same?
Been a while since I bought any and had hoped to change the trailer before now, but that won’t be happening with the current shortage of new ones.

To be fair I think that’s what’s on it, and they’ve done well if I’m honest. Maybe just best to go with them again?

Modify it to fit the old tyres off Big A. You know you want to and you wont be getting any blow outs anytime soon!

You might find it just as cheep to replace complete wheel and tyre from an ifor dealer that just buying a tyre

GT‘s are £52 inc vat, cant see me beating that with a wheel n tyre combo?

I changed to new 13 inch wheels and heavy duty Savero 185/70 r13 tyres when in your predicament a year ago - these tyres are what Ifor fit as a heavy-duty option from new.

That’s interesting, when you say sensible money, ball park figure? They must be a bit bigger in diameter, do they fit in the mud guards ok?

Mind you, then id have two trailers on different tyres and it’s sometimes handy to borrow a tyre from one to the other In an emergency.

Just found the invoice, December 2019 they were £70 each plus vat. Possibly gone up a bit now, but Andrew is a very decent fella and will definitely do you the best deal he can.
They went straight on an Ifor tipper previously fitted with the 12 inch wheels like yours...

You can jam one of these on a trailer with different sized wheels as a get-you-home (speaking from experience)...

I replaced all my ifors with these tyres- think they’re brilliant and like the A/T thread pattern.

I had the 13” option on my new tipper look good tyres and haven’t shown a bulge yet
