Got a tower light lighting tower which is done on voltage putting out 165 volts but as soon as you operate the tower raise switch the voltage jumps up to 230 volts..

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
bad earth or if a brushed genny, dirty brushes, dirty commutator or exciter not functioning properly
