Where I park my ifor at the new house while we refurb it is awkward it’s tight only few inches to spare and fence stops opening drivers door. So have to stop short disconnect then push ifor tipper back another 1-2m which is fine when empty but Christ when there’s 2 ton of loose mot on there that old boy threw on with js130 which was more like 3 and the trailer weighs 1100kg takes some pushing

so my idea is weld up a 1.5m piece of box section with ball on one end and hitch on other.

it’s that or fit some motor movers off a caravan but more weight to carry rd

or yes there are those cool battery shunters but like £5k for mini tracked ones lol

any other ideas no front mounting to shunt it in forward either

Can't see what that wouldn't work...I've a similar 1m extension type thing I use on forktruck for shifting about in yard. Just make sure it's properly clamped on😱
Yeah I wanted a front hitch on my Rok for winch etc but it's a right fag.

jointed at both ends?
or one fixed end?

Fixed end wont be an issue but flex both ends could be.

What about a front mounted towball?

Put a metal loop bolted to the ground near the building behind the trailer
Have a decent price of rope with a hook on it go from the back of the trailer through the loop and then back under the trailer
When you drop trailer off tow bar put the rope onto the tow bar and 9ther end onto trailer pull the truck forwards trailer goes backwards
This way you minimise getting in and out the truck
To get back out again just a strop from trailer to truck
Might want to put a little speed bump in so the trailer doesn't roll into the truck when pulling forwards

Reminds me...mate of mine landscaper...left his Ifor tipper full of MOT at top of his drive one morning. Unhitched it and set off to a job. Minute later his wife heard a noise and saw it go past the window on its way down the drive...
Shot out across the road and the jockey wheel smashed the top off the kerb and it came to a stop...lucky f#kker as there normally row of cars parked there.😱🙄

You should have not been a cheapskate and ordered it with the winch option!!!
Make sure if you go for a different jockey wheel that it is man-enough (caravans are very lightweight in comparison to a loaded Ifor) and that it has the room to be lifted up/stowed within the A-frame.

Ifor ones aren't always that great on a loaded ifor especially if you track the machine to the front of the trailer to reach something as you can to take the machine of to unload the van

Jockey would be on 1m extension just to aid hitching to trailer, jockey on ifor is nice and will lift fine with 3 ton of mot in

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
motorised jockey wheel and just clip it on when needed, or have seen little battery tug thing, goes under the ball, bit like a golf trolley thing
