have given some thought as to their use at the top end of an extension and can't see that it'd be an issue as the same torque would be transferred down the length of the bar - I think?whats the snag do you think ?
access ?
I think the extension would twist to a degreehave given some thought as to their use at the top end of an extension and can't see that it'd be an issue as the same torque would be transferred down the length of the bar - I think?--- 's an interesting conundrum

's what I'm trying to decide, but'd need the same level of torque to do that - can't get my head around it TBHI think the extension would twist to a degreeso wouldn’t give a true reading
maybe

Definitely. Low torque it’s negligible but when you start pulling 200+ Nm on foot of 1/2” extension it does make a difference. We tried it at work to settle a discussion. It’s when you’re getting near to the point where the extension physically can’t handle the torque and is getting towards its elastic limit.I think the extension would twist to a degreeso wouldn’t give a true reading

was thinking more along the lines of a stumpy 2" or 3" extension to get the unit away from the socket ... a 12" would without doubt flex big timeDefinitely.
