To resurrect an anvil

Is it possible to resurrect an anvil like this,
by welding and grinding,
to getting a sharp edge again.
That will hold up for ordinary blacksmith work again ?

I once MIG welded a large lump of 30mil. hardox onto the table of an anvil for a local farrier
held up alright apparently .. was 2009 and's never come back - only lives down the road from me
