Hi everyone, I am a newbie so forgive me if this is not the place to ask this question. I have a mid 90's Thwaites 6 ton straight tip dumper with a Perkins engine and shuttle forward and reverse. We have suddenly lost the reverse, checked transmission oil and it was a little milky so replaced oil and filter (ATF Dexron 2).
Still no reverse, so checked shuttle switch and switch is OK. Can anyone offer any advice on what to check next?
Wiring in general is a bit of a mess and looks like things have been added/removed over the years. Had dumper over 2 years and was working great until last weekend. We had a similar problem about 18 months ago and it was the shuttle switch, bought a new one and problem solved. But as I said switch is working fine in both directions (swapped forward and reverse wires to test).
Any help greatly appreciated.
