This made me chuckle - We might argue about tiltrotators and their applications but Americans cant get their head around a quick hitch, apparently they are a waste of time on excavators. Read the comments to this CAT post on instagram.
Aye they don't seem to 'go a bundle' on hitches over there ... or much else for that matter
... it's a digger not a tool carrier ...... apparently

Yanks are a back of backward inbreds when it comes to plant. Centre pivot backhoes with massive width stabilisers used all the time on road trenching jobs.

Thats a really broad statement.
Personaly I don’t think the world would be quite as developed if it was not for the participation and inovations of their equipment manufactures throughout the history of the construction industry.

Horses for courses. A centre pivot backhoe is far more stable than a sliding king post machine as the footprint is far wider. If you've got the room to use one, which most American jobs have, they're a far better machine. I've worked with and seen plenty over here who have rather, er, backward ideas about equipment without broad-brushing an entire nation.

But hydraulic thumbs and tilt buckets seems common over there as are a vast variety of attatchments for skidsteers. Watching different videos it looks like up until recently the uk had the smallest variety of attatchments for machines
