Hi there ... looking for a pair of new tracks for the Takeuchi. Noticed that some of the cheaper ones have half the number of links. Is it worth paying more for the full set of links or not?

Half the links? Can't even think how that even works . I wouldnt buy cheap tracks, not worth the hassle they cause in my experience, they're not that expensive anyway for an 016

Make sure you change the pair. Otherwise the new one will just deteriorate faster

Guessing they mean long pitch vs short pitch, long pitch engages every other tooth on the sprocket, didn't think you could still get them.
@Tacitus if what I think you mean, go for the full set of links, just better all round, unless you don`t plan on tracking anywhere

Yep, long pitch, I was just quoting what the manufacturer called them. So forget long pitch then.
What about the chain with rubber pads bolted to it? Is that an alternative to rubber tracks?
