Hello, we need to build a tarpaulin support structure for a small dump truck. It's a simple structure called a miller's rib, which is the frame that supported the tarpaulin on flour carts.
This small truck transports dusty debris and inert rubble, so for road use, it needs to cover the accumulated material with a special tarpaulin.
We currently attach a simple, inexpensive waterproof tarpaulin directly to the perimeter of the truck bed using cords and hooks.
We'd like to attach a sturdy, lightweight tubular frame longitudinally along the centerline to support this tarpaulin, similar to a classic camping tent, so that attaching the tarpaulin is quicker and more convenient. Can you help us with some construction suggestions? Thank you.
