Takeuchi EGR fault

Bit of technical assistance needed ? Please.
Does anyone have any idea what resistance there should be across the terminals of a egr valve on a Yanmar TNV98ct engine, as fitted to my Takeuchi TB280fr ?
i've had a egr related fault code come up, dealer (helpfully) sent over a test procedure but its for a 6 pin plug and the one i have is 4 pin, I've had a fitter test the resistance which was well above the 15 ohms required in the test procedure but I'm not very confident he tested the 4 pin plug correctly ? as he said it was 31 and 40 ohms ?
I'm trying to avoid spending £650 on a replacement egr valve unnecessarily but at the same time getting the machine working again asap.
The DTC code indicates - lost communication with egr module.
Sprayed some egr cleaner through the inlet which has cleared the fault a couple of times, which i didn't expect ?

Is the Egr easily accessible, If it is i would remove it and put it into a bucket of petrol leave it to soak for a while, I know its not a car but i do my diesel mondeo regularly you will be suprised how much sludge crap comes out, The aerosols are good but to do the job properly take it off and soak it.

Fortunately it’s very accessible and I will take off and clean it, I was just surprised that cleaning it at all made any difference as the fault codes point to it being an electrical continuity problem.
I‘m thinking the solenoid is down on grunt and when the valve is cleaner it’s got enough power to operate as it should ? But I’d like to be able to test it properly before replacing it.
hopefully i can get the correct test procedure tomorrow ?
