Swaping tracks kx71

Hi All just git an old kubota kx71-3, has metal tracks. Can these be simply swapped out for rubber?

Not seen a 71-3 on steels, what width? any pics.

My rubber 71-3 has 1 top roller 3 bottom, no guides.

what you going to do with the old steels?

I don't know about your model but I have worked on older kubotas that list 2 sets of part numbers for idler assembly and sprocket
One for rubber one for steel tracks
So may be worth looking through parts diagram and see whats listed for your model.

Take it you work on tarmac a bit? No way I’d choose rubber over steel otherwise!

Idlers and bottom rollers are different from memory. Sprockets could well be too.

Depends on make of machine but if its there's plenty wear on tracks and sprockets as it stands it would probably be wise to change sprockets with tracks.

That was my plan, happy with the metal ones for now but once the slab is laid probably wantvto be a little more gentle - sounds like its a streight swap.
