Can anyone recommend a good company to repair and calibrate survey equipment?

My theodolite got blown over in a gust of wind, and it’s f***ed it! Not a great day, and only myself to blame

have you got a account with gap or a local jewsons as we share a depot with the survey arm in Norwich and they do all sorts of repairs on kit there

No we haven’t got a Gap account, and fell out with jewson unfortunately.

Have a lead from the company Fred suggested, so will see how that goes, also pricing a new one, as it might not be worth the bother
Totally f***ed off that I’ve damaged it, I hate breaking kit, collateral damage I suppose , but still annoying

There's a good place near me in Aldermaston called Optical Surveys. That's where I get my stuff repaired and calibrated. Its quite an interesting process they do to check them. They do 2nd hand refurbed stuff too which is sometimes useful.

Might give them a call if I don’t get on with this other guy in the morning. But will likely end up ordering a new one tomorrow if i can’t get anywhere with getting it repaired ASAP. Typically I am using it daily at the moment, rather than it sitting in the cupboard for months on end like it usual is!
