pulled an old ace midget winch out from under the office . rope start petter aa1 engine been stood 6 1/2 years rocked flywheel a couple of times to inject some diesel started first pull. i'm sure somebody can beat that.

Those old single cylinder Listers never cease to amaze me. I have a handle start generator, laid up for a similar time. Went straight away.

We bought a couple of lister engine generators last year, we knew all the history quite incredable really they were from a plant hire MD's garage he's in hes 80's and the company's been going 50 plus years. They were in incredible condition and on the handle as they say...

Currently in africa somewhere as you would expect.

Mate got given a 1.3 mk 3 Capri been stood 15 years so he gave me a shout
10 mins max had it running with a spare battery quick clean of the points and dizzy cap and egg cup full of petrol down the carb and rest in the tank
Was interesting as clutch was stuck started in gear and made sure I had a continuous route to drive as no brakes hit and clutch to dip finally freed clutch off
