slew motor leak

hi ,im looking for some advice after checking oil level today the hyd motor on the slew is leaking oil in to gear box ,its right up the dipstick tube .
im guessing that there is a seal of the shaft thats leaking and if so can the motor be taken off the top and that seal replaced without taking the whole thing off ?
also if i drain it and refill with the correct oil would it cause any damage short term as i have a few jobs to complete before i can strip it down.

Lots of motor gearboxes run with hydraulic oil, but it would be better with gear oil, short term it shouldn’t harm it.
