Samsung track adjuster

Hi Folks,
I've got a 1995 Samsung SE130LC-2 and unfortunately I've thrown track and in the process the main bolt within the track assembly has sheared. I'm assuming, that given the tension this can be under, there is no way of repairing it. I'd be grateful if anyone had any advice on where to get a replacement and is it a Volvo undercarriage. I gather they and Volvo had a connection at some point. Cheers

I don’t know much, if anything about those machines, but that idler tensioner should be available from most aftermarket undercarraige specialist I’d imagine. Like MST, Astrak, Steve Woods etc. ITS Track used to be good, but I have a feeling they are no longer trading?

@wee_gus might be able to help? as he fits a LOT of these components.

From the little that I do know, I’m sure your machine is a true Samsung, Volvo bought out Samsung and the early Volvos of that era were virtually rebadged Samsungs I think, much the same as when Volvo consumed Ackerman. I’m sure I will be corrected if any of that is wrong!

Yeah, aftermarket will be your friend. Loads of these machines still running, especially in the third world, so they will be very repairable.

Yep will be some aftermarket stuff out there, Volvo added letters and numbers to part numbers to that early mix, it would take you a while to match what you need, after markets would have done the leg work already.

If you give me the length of the unit with out idler and also width across the yokes and bolt hole spacing we can sort something out unless you have already
