sunny Scunny at a guess ..... been given a good polishing with a wire brush that ... not been shot-ed .... mill scale's still on it

what size plate ..... be a grand a tonne at 1250 x 2500mm plate (148kgs)
Yes it had a clean up before a coat of zinc phosphate, I know the mill scale is still on it, but it’s going to be internal so can’t justify shot blasting etc.
The plate was indeed 1250 x 2500....

I just bought a plate of 1250x2500 but 20mm thick. Was £385 around Christmas when I looked, £460 when I got round to buying it a few days ago. Ouch.

Well I ordered some steel on Friday, will see what the price is soon enough!

493 kgs ...... £932.43/t :oops: .. bit better than James's £1,013.51/t ;):( .... got a way to go yet 'fore it gets to 1300 quid a tonne though :cry:
