Road registering a loader

What's the score? Looks like it would fit into the 'works truck' category- less than 1000 yards between sites. Amber beacon, does it need full road lighting?

The dealer said it had to be PLG, which I think is bull. Full road tax and presumably an MOT?? f**k right off.

Paging @JD450A !

What ever category you go for the biggest problem is dealing with the DVLA, even more so at the current time.

Works truck is still listed on the gov site. I don’t mind paying tax, just not full whack and a bloody mot

Whats a razer??

Apparently DVLA are really not keen on registering anything other than a tractor with 3pt linkage as agri these days.

There are 2 different agri ones
One is tractors and the other is loaders harvesters sprayers etc
I'm sure a multione would be equally entitled to be a road going loader as a load all would be

Special types/ special vehicle and as above no mot just 165 for road tax. Same as telehandler 3cx etc. There are sub categories within special types but i don't know what odds they make.

I think the 1000 yards thing was no tax or plates, and they done away with it wanting every thing to have a reg number.
My duck is special types-digging machine from memory, and £165 tax no MOT, think you can get special types-lifting machine as well.
With agri, a light agricultural machine is for quads, farm 4x4`s etc and has a mileage restriction.

Agricultural loader/ltd use.... Nil tax 10 miles a week on the road.

Most of your work fits into horticultural or forestry...... Both grand.

Works truck is a twat of a class most the time.
