Retreading tyres

I was just wondering about tyres on the bobcat I like having solids but they are well worn more like racing slicks and new ones are very expensive so I thought maybe they could be retreaded IE a bit more rubber moulded on and recut has anyone done this and where did you get it done

I had my CB Forklift retreaded a couple years go. He just uses a special hot knife and cut out massive grooves again. Didn't cost the earth.

You can buy a hot knife and guides for retreading yourself.

Remoulding, no. You would buy a remould and have it fitted, and I’m not sure if they remould solid tyres.

i had two done on a lift truck last year, was £28 plus vat a tyre didnt think was bad..
compared to the 2 new steers at £330 each !

Was that for remoulding or re cutting they are pretty worn so need remoulding and then re cutting

Just recutting...told us our solids needed replacing couldn't be re vulcanised I believe
