I think your right, that`s what happened over here, mini`s and midi excavators took over from backhoes. Sites getting tighter for space, easier to get operators for excavators, less planning needed from the operator to get the best out of the machine, could all be reasons the backhoe fell out of favor?
With the right person in the seat, the right job, a backhoe can still be a formidable machine.

Backhoes are still popular in the Midlands but less so on resi construction. Loads on the road work. We've got one at my local tip that's on the preview of that video up there. Lifts itself up on 4 legs and then crushes all the crap down a bit. Think they shunt to bins with it too. I think they're good for 1 day jobs in the building if they fit. Sometimes your looking at a ton in tranny with a proper firm just to get a 360 on and off site, then hourly rate for op and machine.
Think generally around low 30s an hour here for backhoe. Travel time in your 8 hrs.

l'escavatore anche se funziona da fermo gira di 360 gradi, il retroescavatore di 180 gradi, ha una gittata più limitata, quindi è più goffo e pesante è sbilanciato sbilanciato ha baricentro alto, quando si usa il caricatore frontale lo è lento nelle manovre. potrebbe essere utilizzata in azienda come macchina a tutto tondo sia per scavare, caricare e scaricare con il caricatore frontale utilizzare forche muletto, o per qualche piccolo cantiere, ma per cantieri stradali penso che il miniescavatore abbinato al mini pala è migliore skid loader, è mio modesto parere che potrei anche sbagliarmi. comunque grazie per i vostri commenti.
