RAMS- what does everyone do?

I'm trying to streamline things a bit- currently all my site specific RAMS are done on a word document and forwarded to customers who require them.
Doesnt have a overly professional look about them tbh and is also a faff as have to load up the laptop.

Is there any decent apps out there for this kind of thing? I like how straighforward quoting and invoices have become for me since using Invoice Simple app and reckon there must be something similar for firing off rams on the spot too?

At the top end you can subscribe to someone like Citation who have everything online you just download and amend etc etc...but they take your trousers down and tie you into 7 year contracts

Or hunt about online and scrat free ones and import into word etc and modify to suit your needs .
Then you'll need an online storage platform.
You may have it with your email setup. Ideally something like OneDrive etc. (Or free ones) Store them all there and then when you need em just send from your phone.

It stores all generic rams and cosh information then links into another app called my mobile workers (again no idea on price ) that allows you to complete tick box site specific risk assements link in generic information and keep a photo diary of the job

I hate doing RAMs compounded by the fact that it seems so utterly pointless when I'm working solo most of the time. Certainly never do it for private work.
Unfortunately because about 60% of my work is local authority and the like they insist on risk assessment for each job which becomes a laborious task

Do a proforma generic one..... and point out that you can't do a site specific one until your on site as the conditions can change.

And even then the site specific need only be a tick box excercise linking back to generic rams kept in a folder.
Just number the generic rams and write the numbers on the SS one

We have an Excel spread sheet that we've added to and developed over the years. It has most of the basic hazards and a Y/N selection where it sorts the only Y boxes and prints them and not the N's. Then save as new file each time for each job.
